My last wild camping trip to the Brecon Beacons in 2021. Testing out my winter set up by swapping my Nemo Riff 30 for a Rab Ascent 900 sleeping bag. The route to my pitch on Picws Du followed the waterboard access road to Lyn Y Fan Fach and then up to the top of the escarpment via Waun Lefrith. In the morning, on yet another day with no views, I went down via Bwlch Blaen-Twrch, back to Lyn Y Fan Fach and retraced my route to the car.
About Me
Hello. My name is Roger and despite nearly 70 years experience of life I still haven't made any real sense of it.
I'm married to Linda who kindly shares many of my outdoor adventures with me. We have two grown up sons and two young granddaughters.
Retired after 40 years working for the same company I spend my time with my family, Hill-walking, Wild Camping, Scouting, and anything else I can fit in.
