Bodmin Moor Hike

In April 2022 we spent a week in Cornwall in the south-west of England. Our first walk of the week was on Bodmin Moor. This moor is similar to the more famous Dartmoor but is much smaller and has more farmed land within it.

We started the walk in the Rough Tor car park (It’s pronounced “Row” Tor ,as in “cow”!) and walked an anti-clockwise route around several other Tors including Brown Willy which apart from having an interesting name is also the highest point of Cornwall at 417 metres.

The weather was glorious, conditions underfoot dry and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

About Me

Hello. My name is Roger and despite nearly 70 years experience of life I still haven't made any real sense of it.

I'm married to Linda who kindly shares many of my outdoor adventures with me. We have two grown up sons and two young granddaughters.

Retired after 40 years working for the same company I spend my time with my family, Hill-walking, Wild Camping, Scouting, and anything else I can fit in.
